How does it work?

• Participants register as individuals or teams.

• Choose how they move: walking, rolling, stairs, etc., and complete daily tasks (number of steps or minutes of movement) linked to hepatitis C facts.

• Learn and share one short fact per day, and watch short videos about CanHepC research (spotlight on trainees)

• Fundraise for CanHepC’s training program.

Why participate?

• To help raise awareness of hepatitis C, a preventable and curable infection that continues to impact thousands of Canadians.

• To build public momentum in engaging in efforts to eliminate hepatitis C as a public health threat in Canada.

• To support training and capacity-building related to hepatitis C prevention, testing, treatment and linkage to care

How will funds be used?

• 75% of all donations received will be used to directly support the CanHepC training program, including the development of fellowship funds and micro-grants to support trainees (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows engaged in hepatitis C research).

• 25% of donation funds will support our partnership with Liver Canada, who are administering the fundraising platform. Liver Canada is the only non-governmental organization in Canada focused on liver health.

How do I access my Fundraising Dashboard?

Click the Login button at the top right corner of the page. Enter your e-mail address and a login link will be sent to you.
Once logged in through the link, you will be directed to your Fundraising Dashboard, where you can manage your personal page, donations, and emails.
If you are a Team Captain, you will also see options to manage your team.

How do I join a team after registration?

Please reach out to Liver Canada's team at kreid@liver.ca with the name of the team you'd like to join and we will process this request for you.

How do I edit my personal or team fundraising page?

Your fundraising page is created without any default content when you register, but personalizing it helps increase donations.

Only team captains will have access to edit the Team Fundraising Page from their Fundraising Dashboard.

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Click My Donation Page.
Update your: Page title, personal story/content, fundraising goal or profile picture.

For Team Captains: Click My Team Page to edit your team’s fundraising page.

How do I change my personal fundraising goal?

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Go to My Donation Page.
Locate your fundraising goal.
Click Edit or Update Goal.
Enter your new goal and save your changes.

How do I change my team fundraising goal?

You must be a Team Captain to change your team goal.

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Go to My Team Page.
Find the team goal section.
Click Edit or Update Goal.
Enter your new goal and save your changes.

How do I send donation request emails to my contacts?

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Click My Donors.
Copy the Fundraising Inspiration template email.
Send the email through your own personal email account.
Personalize your message (the donation page link is included).
Select recipients.
Review and click Send.

How do I thank my donors?

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Navigate to My Donors or/and My Team Donors.
Filter for donors who have not yet been thanked.
Send a thank-you email using a template ('text inspiration') or a custom message. You can also add emojis or send a GIF image using Giphy.

I’m a team captain, how do I email my team?

Log in to your Fundraising Dashboard.
Navigate to My Team.
Scroll down.
Copy the link Invite Members to my team.
Scroll down.
Send an email with the link through your own personal email account or share on social media.

How do I enter offline funds (cash and cheques)?

Please reach out to Liver Canada's team at kreid@liver.ca with the donation amount and your fundraiser name and we will process this request for you.

Where’s my tax receipt?

When you make a donation online, a tax receipt is automatically issued via email. Please check your junk or promotions folder if you do not receive it immediately. For cash or cheque donations, allow 6–8 weeks after the event date. If you have not received your tax receipt, submit a request to Jacqueline Beckford at jbeckford@liver.ca.
